About GTetrinet

Description

GTetrinet is a client program for the popular Tetrinet game, a multiplayer tetris game that is played over the internet. (If you don't know what Tetrinet is, check out tetrinet.org)

Here are links to a couple of Tetrinet servers for Unix/Linux:

• Tetrinet for Linux - includes both a server and a console client
• TetrinetX - a highly configurable server with many features

For more information on the gameplay, refer to the tetrinet.txt file that came with the original Tetrinet distribution.

Features

• Fully network compatible with Tetrinet v1.13 for Win95/98/NT
• Theme support with sound
• Spectator support on Tetrinet-X servers with the qirc patch by Drslum.

What do I need to install GTetrinet?

• The GNOME Desktop Environment
• The ESD sound daemon, which is bundled with GNOME by default (not required)
• A MIDI player, such as Timidity (not required)
